BSP joined the celebration of the 117th Anniversary of the Philippine Independence day on June 12, 2015. Started at 7:00 in the morning, carrying all the former Philippine
flags and the current Philippine flag, BSP of Angeles City and other organizations such as PNP, teachers, students and etc. walked around the Museo ning Angeles City (Angeles City Museum) and the Pamintuan Mansion where the first celebration of Independence day in 1899 was held and led by Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo.
Angeleños waited until 8:00 in the morning to simultaneously raised the Philippine flag all over the country. There was a stage play of the actual scene of the 1899 Independence day at Pamintuan Mansion. Every year, Angeleños celebrate the Independence day with this traditional walk and reenactment of the scene. Pres. Benigno Aquino III also joined the celebration in Iloilo City.
A lot of people is expecting the next year's celebration would be better than this year's celebration as the government is renovating the place. They're trying to give it a classic look like when the Spaniards were still here in the Philippines.
